Ordering & Dispatch


As all our products are either Home Produced or are sourced from small, specialty producers please allow up to 7 working days from ordering for us to dispatch your order. We will, in any case, contact you by email to confirm receipt of your order and by telephone to advise you of the anticipated day/date of dispatch. Earliest delivery dates: Order Monday - Delivered Wednesday Order Tuesday - Delivered Thursday Order Wednesday - Delivered Friday Order Thursday - Delivered Tuesday Order Friday - Delivered Tuesday Order Saturday - Delivered Tuesday Order Sunday - Delivered Tuesday Your order will be delivered between 8am and 6pm on your chosen date. We are unable to provide an exact time for delivery but please supply information if you would like us to leave your order with a neighbour or in a safe place i.e. porch.

We cannot make deliveries on Saturdays, Sundays or Mondays. Orders will be dispatched either on a Tuesday to arrive Wednesday or a Wednesday to arrive Thursday. If this will be inconvenient for you please contact us and we will try to make alternative arrangements.

Non-UK Mainland Delivery Charges Please note the delivery charge quoted covers UK mainland only. If you require delivery to be made to non-mainland UK destinations in N.IRELAND, THE ISLE OF MAN, THE SCOTTISH ISLANDS, THE ISLES OF SCILLY, EIRE, or THE CHANNEL ISLANDS please contact us for a quotation. We regret that we are unable to send goods beyond the U.K .

Delivery


All orders are sent by overnight courier, unless you have chosen to collect your order from our Shop in Louth or if your order has been made to coincide with your arrival in one of our self catering Holiday Cottages. If you have particular delivery instructions (‘Please leave in porch' for example) please advise us at the time of ordering. It is your duty to ensure that your requested delivery date is suitable for either yourself or your gift recipient to accept the delivery. It is your responsibility to ensure that someone is available to accept delivery. Meridian Meats cannot be held responsible for damage to fresh goods, which are not refrigerated or frozen upon delivery, neither can we cannot accept responsibility for addresses provided incorrectly. Please note it is a requirement of the courier company that we must have the telephone number at the delivery address. Unless you are contacted by us to advise otherwise, your goods will be dispatched on the advised date and will normally be delivered before or soon after noon although they could be delivered any time up until 6pm. Please note that we cannot track the exact location of your order during the day and will only be notified by the couriers if there is a problem.

Complaints Procedure

It is your responsibility to check your order carefully immediately on receipt of goods. In the unlikely event of goods being unsatisfactory, damaged or incomplete you should accept delivery and contact us within 2 working days, after this time period has elapsed we will be unable to consider complaints.

Nuts

All products are produced in nut environments and could possibly be contaminated with nuts.

Cancellations and Returns

We regret that once an order is placed it is not possible to cancel it and refunds cannot be given. Consequently credit card authorization and payment will be taken upon placement of orders. In the unlikely event of a product being unsatisfactory, you will be required to return the goods in their entirety within 48 hours to receive reimbursement.

What information do we collect? How do we use it?

When you order, we need to know your name, e-mail address, delivery address and home address. This allows us to process and fulfill your orders and to notify you of the status of your order. We also ask for your telephone number which enables us to contact you urgently if there is a problem with your order or to discuss a matter that might need some clarification. It is also required by the Courier so that the driver can contact you if necessary.

How does Meridian Meats protect customer information?

When you place orders, we offer the use of a secure server. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information you input before it is sent to our credit card authorization centre. Furthermore, as required by the UK Data Protection Acts of 1984 and 1998, we follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information which you have given us, to prevent unauthorized access. Our security procedures mean that we may occasionally request proof of identity before we are able to disclose sensitive information to you.

What about "cookies"?

Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. Our cookies do not contain any personally identifying information, but they do enable us to store items in your Shopping Basket. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually change your browser to prevent that.

Will Meridian Meats disclose the information it collects to outside parties?
