In February 2009 Country Life magazine organised a beef tasting session where steaks from 11 Native Breeds were cooked by the chefs at Hix Oyster and Chop House in London EC2 and were tasted by a panel of 10 judges.
 
Meridian Meats were invited to supply the Longhorn entry, it came from an animal born and raised on our own farm. We are extremely proud that our Longhorn steak was voted "Britain's Best Steak"  Click here to read the article and see what the judges had to say.
