Our Beef, Lamb and Pork joints, steaks and other cuts purchased through our Online Shop are vacuum packed and some may be frozen. We do this so that the superior eating qualities of our meat at the time it is butchered are retained at their very best. Fresh meat, even when vacuum packed, will slowly continue its maturation process eventually leading to deterioration. By freezing we arrest this process so that when you defrost and cook these products the eating quality will still be at its very best.

 

Our Ready Meals will come to you frozen, whilst Sausages and Burgers will either be made fresh to order or be frozen depending on the quantity ordered, and the variety/varieties chosen. 'Cured' and 'Cooked' meat products (eg Bacon, Pastrami, Stuffed Chine, Pork Pies etc.) will be vacuum packed but not frozen. Items dispatched frozen are not guaranteed frozen on delivery. Items sourced by us from local speciality producers will be in the producers own packaging.

Our Online Shop has been designed to provide not only an easy to use shopping service but also a system whereby as you select and purchase the item picked is removed from stock and cannot then be sold to anybody else. This means that you are only viewing items of stock that are available to purchase and in the event of a product being temporarily out of stock there will often be a message displayed to indicate when the next stock of that product will be available. By adopting this system you can be sure that everything you have selected will be allocated to you and dispatched together. It is perhaps worth mentioning that if you are a Customer who already normally shops at our Farm Shop here in Tetford you can use this online service to select and pay for items of your choice and then choose the option to collect your order which will be put aside awaiting your collection. One further option which is available to Guests staying in our Little London Cottages is to have your order waiting for you in your cottage on the day you arrive.

 

We pack your order in an insulated box which leaves here in the late afternoon on the day preceding the day of delivery to you. We cannot make deliveries on Saturdays, Sundays or Mondays. Most orders will be dispatched either on a Monday or Tuesday of the following week of when the order was placed.

 

In every event we will email you to confirm receipt of your order and advise when we will be dispatching it to you. If the planned delivery day is inconvenient for you please tell us and we will do our utmost to make alternative arrangements. If you have any special delivery instructions ('Please leave in the porch' for example) please tell us at the time of ordering. Your order will normally arrive before or soon after noon although it could be delivered any time up to 6pm.
